In the time of the Neolithic
discovering prehistoric pottery

Introduction to the Workshop

How is pottery made nowadays? How did archaeologists find out about the crafting methods used for pottery by the Bell-Beaker (French Neolithic) civilization ? What does the Bell-Beaker period mean in the context of French History? What is the Bronze Age?

These are some of the questions the children will explore through easy and fun games where they will have to make use of their little grey cells to discover how archaeologists conduct research.

Depending on the time allocated to this activity, they will try their hand at crafting pottery the Neolithic way.
