ArkaeoFake project
A bulwark against misinformation
The ArkaeoFake project fights against misinformation in archaeology and more broadly in historical disciplines. It aims to strengthen critical thinking and disseminate a high-quality scientific culture in a context of proliferating fake news and conspiracy theories.
Ultimately, a participatory component will enable citizens to report dubious content. By focusing on collaboration and transparency, ArkaeoFake hopes to restore historical disciplines to their rightful place in public debate, and boost confidence in scientific research.
